Thanks again @Sedda (AKA A Member of the public) for doing this. Like most amateur lyricists, I find it fairly hard to find someone to write music for my words. And I totally get that, songwriting is intensely personal, both lyrically and musically. This is not my best lyric but I enjoyed writing it.
Spending weeks
Out on the road
No city freaks
And nothing owed
Destinations so afar
Steely winds from Timbuktu blow through
Cracked windshield of my car
PC
But when it’s cold I have a warm place
In back reaches of my mind
I am moving, she is waiting
Touch
Anticipating
In the place you left behind
–
She’ll be there
Oh yeah
She will be there
Your heart is in Wyoming
The day you stop your roaming
She’ll be there
–
In your travel-tired eyes
The sun goes down
To where it shines on her
You can’t dream, only steal it, you know she can feel it
When you see a angel stir
–
She’ll be there
Oh yeah
She will be there
Your heart is in Wyoming
The day you stop your roaming
She’ll be there
–
