Can you hear my song?

There are 3 versions here. The first here is a A Member of the Public one here

I’ve also had a crack at a couple of ai versions…

Can you hear my Song (version 1)

The clock ticks (my final hours)

Jailer drums a trashcan hard

Crow-calls resound (outside my tower)

Ball bounce rhythm in the yard

So I put some words to these backbeat sounds

Giving life to embryonic verse

Then a melody, from a memory

I painfully coerce

Holly, do you feel your curtains whisper

A heartbeat pulse, now strong

Listen (listen)

Listen

Can you hear my song?

Yeah I know that you’re not near,

but Holly can you hear,

Can …you hear my song?

My final footsteps eventually beckon

I clutch my words on torn-out page

Holly, in my head I sing with you

As they lead me from my rusty cage

It’s you who the sounds dropped for

Holly, it’s only you

I send my song

And breath the air

The sky, my final view

Do you sense the words I’m sending?

Did you feel them all along?

Listen (listen)

Listen

Can you hear my song?

I’m already halfway gone

but Holly can you hear?

Can …you hear my song?

Can you Hear my Song? (version 2)

The clock tick-tocks (my final hours)

I’m all alone but Holly’s in my heart

Bare room in a prison tower

I hear lively rhythm in the yard

So I put some words to backbeat sounds

Giving life to embryonic verse

Then a melody, from a memory, I coerce

Holly do you feel your curtains whisper

And a heartbeat pulse, still strong

Listen (listen)

Listen

Can you hear my song?

Yeah I know that you’re not near,

but can you hear,

Can you hear my song?

It’s you who the sounds dropped for

Holly, it’s only you

I send my song

And breath the air

The sky, my final view

[Bridge]
I was a cheap pretender
I was a poorer half
I was a never-ender
I took a crooked path

Ohhhh ohhhhh

Do you sense the words I’m sending?

Did you feel them all along?
